ANIL AGRAWAL

ANIL AGRAWAL

Chief Executive Officer

Anil Agrawal is the CEO of CIMCON Lighting, Inc. and has more than twenty-five years of experience in corporate management, sales and marketing, product development and entrepreneurial leadership. In 1988, he founded CIMCON Software and successfully led the company through years of continuous growth and positioned it as a multi-faceted company with global customer base and offices in USA, UK and India.

Anil has pioneered the concept of "Just In Time Lighting" using an industrial strength Internet Of Lights (IoT) platform that solves the problem of high energy wastage caused by inefficient and unnecessary use of lights. He holds several US Patents on wireless controls of street lights and has several publications on advanced control systems.

Anil received his Masters' degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.

Clarence Friedman

Clarence Friedman

Vice President, Strategy & Alliances

Clarence leads CIMCON’s smart city practice as well as strategic academic and industry collaborations. Clarence comes from a deep background of innovation leadership. Prior to joining CIMCON, Clarence led teams at Pfizer, Theta Ventures, and McKinsey & Co. Most recently, Clarence was founder / CEO of Adeo Health Science (acquired by Stallergenes-Greer in May 2019). Clarence has been named TiE Entrepreneur of the year, Top 100 Most Influential People in Food, Winner of Boston’s HubWeek, and Gold Winner at MassChallenge.

 

Clarence teaches his case, “Adeo Health Science: Turning a Product into Brand” at Harvard Business School as well as BU. He regularly mentors at Harvard’s iLab, and is an advisory board member to more than 5 companies in Boston. He has an end to end commitment to market leadership and experience leading companies through all different phases of growth.

 

Clarence received his combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Brandeis University and his M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

Bob Flaherty

Vice President, Customer Success & Managed Services
Bob Flaherty leads CIMCON’s Managed Services and Customer Success teams and brings over 20 years of experience in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Managed Services and IT Service Management. Previously, Bob led the definition and development of innovative SaaS portfolio and go-to-market business models for companies including Schneider Electric, CA Technologies and InteQ. At InteQ, a pioneer in IT managed services and SaaS, he was responsible for Service Strategy, Product Management and Sales of InteQ’s Managed Services portfolio managing IT infrastructure in over 90 countries. He has also developed several strategic partnerships that helped shape the MSP marketplace.
DAVID SCHOLNICK

DAVID SCHOLNICK

Vice President, Global Cisco Channel

David leads CIMCON's global channel sales and has over 25 years of Management experience in Enterprise, Commercial, Carrier, OEM & Channel Sales. He has run North American businesses as part of the executive team from start-ups and acquisition to over $560 million in annual revenues. At Cimcon, he is responsible for managing the Global Cisco Channel for Smart Cities & IoT Solutions.  

 

At Benu Networks he was responsible for driving all North American customer acquisition and adoption of their subscription-based NFV Cloud solutions across a variety of tier-one operators and multiple CPE vendors. While at Juniper Networks, he was responsible for managing all reseller channel sales activities, including partner recruitment, partner satisfaction and revenue attainment in the Cable MSO Vertical, where he built the Juniper Service Provider Solutions Cloud Practice from inception and responsible for all business objectives, strategy, revenue goals, and implementation. 

 

This Cloud Practice was the first of its kind, to bundle services (connectivity and managed) with hardware. This program not only provided new incremental revenue for Juniper’s US Partners but helps them build a recurring revenue stream and increases their own valuations. David also served as Senior Manager of Global Service Management at Cisco Systems and Vice President and National Sales Manager at Philips Electronics, where he led significant company growth and was instrumental in developing U.S. enterprise channel sales, OEM, and operations as well as revenue goals. Prior to Philips, he held senior sales roles at Sony and Sharp Electronics. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

JIM BORRI

JIM BORRI

Vice President, North American Utilities

Jim leads CIMCON’s Utility Business Segment for North America. He is responsible for the development and ongoing management of our go to market strategy to unlock Smart Lighting & Smart City value for our Utility customers and related channel partners.

 

Jim comes to CIMCON as a proven business development leader with the unique combination of experience gained by mastering best practices and thriving in best run organizations (e.g. SAP & PTC) while also having the high energy and roll your sleeves up tenacity required to lead the growth in an early-mid stage business (e.g. FirstFuel, Tendril & Adexa). Prior to joining CIMCON, Jim lead business development efforts and the go to market strategy at FirstFuel which was recently acquired by Uplight.

 

With over 20 years of experience leading winning business development teams and delivering top quartile performance, Jim has a passion for unlocking meaningful business value while building trusted advisor relationships across the Energy & Utility Segment. Equally, Jim has a passion to help Public and Investor Owned organizations do more with less resulting in optimal financial outcomes while also driving a positive impact on our society & environment.

 

Outside of work, Jim enjoys time with family, playing golf and other outdoor activities. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Michigan State University.

Punit Jain

Punit Jain

Director, Business Development

Punit Jain is a business development professional with over 20+ years’ experience building technology businesses through innovative go-to-market and partner development strategies. At CIMCON, Punit will be responsible for cultivating business in the EMEA and APAC regions, developing new partner sales channels, and supporting the promotion and sale of CIMCON’s Managed Services and NearSky™ platform. Prior to CIMCON, Punit spent 20 years at Onward Technologies, Inc. as Vice President and Director of Business Development, where he was responsible for establishing the company’s IT division in the Americas and developing and bringing to market the company’s staffing and solution services to Fortune 2000 clients. Prior to Onward Technologies, he held positions of Sales Manager at Fujitsu ICIM Limited and Territory Manager at Usha India Limited.

Punit holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and an MBA in Marketing.

Heidi Sporel

Director, Marketing

Heidi Sporel, Director of Marketing, has over 25 years' international experience in managing and implementing projects in all facets of Marketing for organizations ranging from Fortune 500 to Start-up. At CIMCON Lighting, she is responsible for the development of all Advertising, Promotion, Public Relations, Event, and Web campaigns. Prior to joining CIMCON Lighting, Heidi was Director of Marketing at Masspro, a professional services organization serving the medical community. While at Masspro, Heidi managed all Corporate Marketing initiatives with a special focus on Health Information Technology (HIT). Prior to Masspro, Heidi spent five years as International Marketing Manager for NetTest/Anritsu, a manufacturer of Network Management equipment, where she over saw all Corporate Branding initiatives as well as managed the day-to-day marketing operations of two business units. Heidi was also a Product Manager and Marketing Director at Western Union; and eight years at the Sony Corporation as a Business Planner/Market Analyst and Promotions Manager.

Heidi holds an MBA in Marketing & International Business from Seton Hall University, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Economics from Boston College. She is also a Certified Grant and Proposal Writer, and has completed Project Management Courses at Boston University.

Willy Fiallo

Sales Director, Latin America & the Caribbean

Willy Fiallo is CIMCON’s Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Willy has over 25 years’ controls, engineering and quality assurance experience. Prior to joining CIMCON, Willy was Sales Director, Southeast and Latin America for Echelon Corporation and before that Director and General Manager for Energy and Power Technologies for Underwriters Laboratories, LLC. In addition, he spent 15 years at Lutron Electronics in various positions including Regional Manager - Caribbean, Central & South America; Sales Manager – Residential Brazil, Customer Education Manager – Latin America and Quality, and Quality Manager – Wallbox Business Unit. He also spent 10 years at General Electric Corp. in a variety of engineering and operational positions.

Willy holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico De Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In addition, Willy has completed a variety of professional certifications, including ISO 9000 Certified Auditor and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
