CIMCON is seeking a passionate, entrepreneurial individual to join our team as an Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you will own the development of your region. You will be supported and empowered by working hand in hand with our Municipal, Channel, and Utility teams. You will be responsible for creating new opportunities and upselling existing clients to achieve your annual quota. Compensation for this role consists of a base salary plus uncapped commission incentives.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage existing relationships with key cities during the initial roll-out of projects to drive additional sales.
  • Create, develop and grow new and existing channel partner relationships in your region to drive sales for new and existing city opportunities.
    • Collaborate with regional channel partners to drive sales
    • Facilitate and run regional channel partner train the trainer programs
  • Provide continuous feedback to leadership as well as external sales force

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Hardware and software sales experience
  • IoT or lighting background
  • Experience with longer sales cycles (6-18 months)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Proven success in a quota carrying position.
  • 3+ year experience in a customer-facing sales or account management role
  • The ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

CIMCON is seeking an analytical, charismatic individual to join our team as a Solution Engineer. As a Solution Engineer, you will be the externally facing expert in networking and solutions for CIMCON. You will support our Municipal, Channel, and Utility teams by lending your expertise and IT acumen to close deals. You will be responsible for representing CIMCON’s solutions and building a set of materials in order to accelerate our advantage in the market. Compensation for this role consists of a base salary plus commission incentives.

Responsibilities: 

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Perform needs analysis and discovery working sessions with clients prior to delivering professional presentations, demonstrations, and the delivery of tailored solutions.
  • Run technical working sessions including hardware, software, and networking to educate customers and achieve technical certification with Utilities, Cities and Channel Partners.
  • Develop business case materials to justify prospective customer project approval for purchase of solution offering
  • Run business case development working sessions with prospective clients to justify the purchase of solution offering and platform
  • Run customer journey mapping sessions by user persona to determine best practices for demonstration flows along with associated benefits for CIMCON’s platform.
  • Develop, manage and continuously optimize demonstration environments to support field sales team.
  • Provide technical support for sales and product teams for RFP and RFI submissions.
  • Act as the liaison between field sales and product development/engineering to provide product information and technical subject matter expertise and guidance.
  • Perform take offs of electrical diagrams for the purpose of developing fixture and control counts.
  • Develop electrical BOM quotations for lighting control and networking projects
  • Provide software training for customers, channel partners and manufacturing reps on CIMCON’s ‘front end’ software.
  • Provide support for customer & partner channel representatives by providing quotations, technical documentation, operation and maintenance manuals and submittals.
  • Maintain and update salesforce and other related software tracking tools for developing opportunities and ongoing projects.
  • Perform on site customer kick off meetings for new projects

Preferred Requirements:

  • Develop responses for ‘Request for Proposals’ and ‘Requests for Information’
  • Experience with FND, firewall, CGR, mesh, wireless networks, mesh technology
  • Provide on-site technical support for demo and pilot projects
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all existing customers within the territory with the purpose of strengthening their understanding of CIMCON products and maximizing the use of their existing systems.
  • Develop relationships with existing customers to create project references.
  • Manage and track all projects for the manufacturing representatives in territory.
  • Create new sales opportunities by reaching out to municipalities and end customers.

  • 5+ year experience in a solution architect customer-facing sales or account management role
  • Experience with Cisco, Itron/Silver Springs Network, and/or comparable networking solutions
  • Preferred Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCDP, and/or CCIE
  • The ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
