Sales Engineer
Location: Flexible - Headquarters in Burlington, MA



CIMCON is seeking a passionate, entrepreneurial individual to join our team as a Sales Engineer. In this role you will use your communications skills, coupled with your knowledge of systems engineering and networking to support CIMCON's sales team and grow our smart city business throughout North America and Australia. If you have at least 2 years of experience in electrical project management or networking and you're looking for an opportunity to join a tech-focused team, this job is for you!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform take offs of electrical diagrams for the purpose of developing fixture and control counts
  • Develop electrical BOM quotations for lighting control and networking projects
  • Provide software training for customers and manufacturing reps on CIMCON’s ‘front end’ software
  • Provide support for manufacturing reps by providing quotations, technical documentation, operation and maintenance manuals and submittals
  • Maintain and update salesforce and other related software tracking tools for projects
  • Perform on-site customer kick off meetings for new projects
  • Learn CIMCON’s latest technologies and act as a subject matter expert to customers
  • Serve as a backup Field Support Tech when the Customer Success team is overloaded, insulating the Sales team from field support issues

Preferred Responsibilities:

  • Develop responses for ‘Request for Proposals’ and ‘Requests for Information’
  • Provide on-site technical support for demo and pilot projects
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers to strengthen their understanding of CIMCON products and maximize the use of their existing systems
  • Manage and track all projects for the manufacturing representatives in territory


BS in engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience


$90-110K, + performance incentives
